| Heeeeeello xanga-ers! Or whoever's still on this thing after the facebook bug... Last post since '06?! It's '07, and I felt like posting because... MY LIFE = ESSAYS enough said. Same old habits, and I'm screwing myself over... | | |
| I'm still on this bandwagon! Even if my last blog was when Italy took it home. ;)
I'll keep this one short and sweet.
- I love downtown, and it makes the hour commute worth it =D - University's a DRASTIC change, it's an experience nevertheless - readings just never stop... - the most random run-ins with people downtown - new people, new lifestyle, new attitudes...you learn to love it - you need spending DISCIPLINE when your downtown =/ - being NINETEEN is sick =D - John Mayer and his 'Continuum' is GENIUS; I frikken love it - people can either be really friendly or be really big jerks in university - Oh oh, if you haven't read it yet, grab Tuesdays With Morrie. Amazing book, it is worth every single cent of the $7.99 you'll need to pay. TRUST ME (I'm not overexaggerating, I swear ;) - you get fat downtown; fast foods just seem to follow you wherever you go - uhhh, I miss people who I haven't seen for ages - Summer 06 was BOMB =D - I need a job - live weekends ahead...;)
So yeah, random much? hahaha I'd write an essay if I made this one long. Since school is back, expect more blogs...of school stress? Hope not. It's been a good start of my first year so far, and I know there's MOOORE ahead ;) Anyway, I'll wrap it up...
I've said it before and I'll say it again:
Much love for significant others who keep me sane and smiling.
PEEEEAAAACE!

| Worst week of my summer by far. Here it goes...
The early morning of Tuesday wasn't too bad. Right up until the moment I stepped of the house. I got up really later than usual for work, and that's what probably triggered every wrong happening throughout the day.
Stepping out of my house, bullets of rain drops hit my face. My parents let me drive to work for the first time, and I knew I only had a good 15 mins to get there; the usual time from my house to my work is a good 20 mins-half hour. Just a bit over the speed limit, I was coming up on an intersection where I needed to make a left turn. A car was already in the middle of the intersection, and as I switched to the left turn lane, hitting the brakes sent my Corolla sliding uncontrollably, and inevitably crashing into the car in front of me. Still traumatized and shocked, all I saw was the front of my car completely smashed and wrecked. The lady who I hit stepped out at the same time I did; we were both okay. I knew I was going to miss work already, and to think it couldn't get any worse? After sorting everything out with the police officer that came 15 mins later, I ended up getting a 100$+ ticket for my license being expired (I hadn't changed my address since we moved), a 300$+ ticket for careless driving, 6 frikken demerit points on my license (that's the maximum btw), and a HUGE increase on my insurance. Careless driving?! I retold the story to the officer over and over again: I was NOT tailgating the car or speeding at all (10 above the maximum IS NOT speeding), but it was the WEATHER. For some reason my explanation wasn't good enough and he completely disregarded it. The day wore on with my Corolla completely destroyed and getting sent into the compound.
Argh...
Plus, my parents just told me I wouldn't be driving for a while, which complicates things tenfold, because it's going to be really harder to get around from where I live. I haven't seen my girlfriend for a while, and she's away at Wasaga; last minute things just kept us from each other since the last time we chilled, and now that I won't be driving...you get the picture. I miss her. That stupid accident literally killed my plans for the next couple of weeks, with the huge insurance increase, ticket payments, etc etc...
As hard, no impossible, as it may sound, positivity is key.
Through it, I'm just thankful I came out of that incident well and alive; constant trust and faith in him should help me pull through whatever's ahead. Right? Absolutely.
Good vent. I'm a bit relieved. =)
